| 1) Intentional offsides - any "intentional" offsides call will result in the face-off being taken deep in the offending team's zone (face-off circles). 2) Jersey rule - For the most part, we're all aware of it. Teams are required to have their players in similar colored jerseys w/ permanent #s affixed to the back. Also, duplicate #s are not allowed. The captain of a team may call this rule into play at anytime prior to the end of the 2nd period. The captain must contact the official(s) and request a jersey check (point out the opposing player who is in violation), at which time the offending player is assessed an 8 minute misconduct penalty (player sits in penalty box for 8 minutes, but it will not result in an odd man advantage). In other words, it's up to the judgement of each individual captain as to whether or not to request the penalty. Note: A max of two players from each team may be called for the penalty during the course of the game. 3) Dropping gloves - will still be an automatic game ejection. 4) Fighting - Fights will result in a "minimum" of a one (1) game suspension. Two fights in the same season will result in a "minimum" of a four (4) game suspension. Three fights in the span of two seasons will result in a minimum of nine regular season games (player ineligible to play in playoffs until regular season suspension is served). Note: Depending on the degree of violence, the history of each player involved and the recommendations of the officials present, heavier suspensions can and will be issued. Fights taking place AFTER a game (i.e. during handshakes, in the bench area or anywhere on the premises WILL result in heavier penalties being issued (leave it on the rink when the game is over). 5) 3rd man in - is an automatic 1 game suspension (judgment cal made by the refs). 6) Leaving the benches - to get involved in an altercation on the rink is an automatic minimum of a 1 game suspension. 7) Intent to injure - any penalties deemed as an "intent to injure" by officials will result in a minimum of a four (4) game suspension.....though, depending on the severity, heavier suspensions can and will be issued (including a lifetime ban). 8) Abuse of officials and/or the league facility/equipment - will not be tolerated. Abuse of equipment WILL result in suspensions being issued. Verbal abuse of officials (including score-keepers) will result in penalties and possibly game ejections/suspensions. Physical abuse of an official is an automatic lifetime ban, and may result in criminal charges being filed. 9) 4 minor penalties - Any player receiving the equivalent of 4 minor penalties in a game will automatically be ejected from the game. 10) Suspended Players - Any player serving a suspension in excess of 2 games will not be allowed to play in any other division until the suspension has been served for the team/division in which the penalty took place.
